PAGES is a free word processing tool developed by Apple Inc. It enables the creation of outstanding documents very similar to Microsoft Word. Apple markets PAGES as an application that is user friendly, allowing it’s users to create documents effortlessly. MacOS, IOS, and IPadOS can create, open, and edit .pages files. It is also referred to as a Page layout application.
Apple Pages comprises of templates with themes like letters, resumes, and CV’s from which users make their choices. The media browser feature in Pages allows quick access to media from IMovie, iTunes, and Photos. With a direct link from the Media Browser window, users can select, drag and drop moves, music, or photos into the pages document.
The document window has a toolbar used to insert objects, shapes, comments, charts, and text boxes. Pages application also supports uploading of documents to iWork and adding of various pages to the same text. Pages export files to several formats, although the formatting style remains the same during the export.
The earlier version of pages were able to send some Microsoft Word or AppleWorks documents to Rich Text Format. The feature which supported this was removed in Pages 6.1. You can easily view PAGES files on Google Drive.
