What is the difference between .tap and .apng?

Description: An embroidery file type TAP is a file format used by home embroidery machines to store information about the design that is to be stitched. The file contains all the data and instructions necessary for the machine to create the design. It includes information about the type and color of threads to be used, the size of the design, and the exact locations of the different elements of the design.; Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNG) is a file format which extends the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) specification to permit animated images that work similarly to animated GIF files, while supporting 24-bit images and 8-bit transparency not available for GIFs. It also retains backward compatibility with non-animated PNG files.
