The PHC (Home Embroidery Format) is a proprietary file format used for storing embroidery designs. It is used by many different types of home embroidery machines, including Brother and Janome. The format stores information about the design, such as stitch type, thread color and the coordinates of the stitches. It can also contain text and images.
Image saved in the native graphics format used by Silicon Graphics workstations; can store 8 to 32 bits per pixel; also supports Run-length encoding (RLE) compression for reducing the image file size.
