Convert Zipped ESRI Shapefile / Geodatabase to bz2

  1. Download and install the latest version of Filestar.

  2. Right click on one or more Zip file(s) on your desktop and select Convert with Filestar.

  3. Type convert to bz2 in the search box.

Description
A ZIP file holding an Esri shapefile (.shp, .shx, .dbf and companions) or a file geodatabase folder, the usual way GIS vector data is downloaded and shared.
An archive file developed by Bzip2 compressor mainly found on Unix OS. Its popularly used to move Linux application packages because of its high-level compression algorithms i.e. the Burrows-Wheeler compression and Run-Length Encoding (RLE).
