- VAG (Vorbis Audio... actually PlayStation Audio) is an audio file format developed by Sony for use in PlayStation game consoles. It stores compressed audio data using Sony's proprietary ADPCM compression algorithm, optimized for game sound effects and music. The format is commonly used in PlayStation and PlayStation 2 game development.
