Description
CRI USM Video is a proprietary video container format developed by CRI Middleware for use in video games. It stores compressed audio and video streams, often using CRI's own codecs, and is commonly used for cutscenes and in-game video playback. It is prevalent in many console and PC games developed in Japan.
A DDS file is a raster image saved in the DirectDraw Surface (DDS) container format. It can store compressed and uncompressed pixel formats and is often used for texturing video game unit models. DDS files may also be used to store Windows desktop backgrounds or wallpapers.
