- UFO2 (Unified Font Object 2) is a file format used for storing digital font data. It is an open source format developed by Adobe that allows for easy exchange of font data between different programs. It stores font outlines, metrics, and other data in XML-based files.
- SFD (Spline Font Database) is the native, text-based source format of the FontForge font editor. It stores a font's glyph outlines, metrics, kerning, OpenType tables and editing state, so a font can be reopened and edited losslessly and then exported to TrueType, OpenType, WOFF or Type 1.
