What is the difference between .trec and .vips?

TREC files are typically used for storing content for tutorials and demonstrations.; VIPS is a libvips file format mainly used for calculations, but it can also store images. The main advantage is that it has no size limit; it's fast and straightforward. Nonetheless, most applications can't view it, so converting it to a more popular format is the only way to work around it.
