- Description
- The Sun Rasterfile (extension: .sunsr or .ras) is a raster graphics file format primarily used on Sun Microsystems computers. It was designed for storing bitmapped images, including color and grayscale images. This file format supports various depth and color models, accommodating everything from monochrome to full 24-bit true color images. It became a standard for exchanging bitmap images on SunOS systems, though its usage has declined with the advent of more versatile image formats.
- The GBR file format is associated with GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), a freely distributed image editing software. It is specifically used to store custom brush designs that can be used within the GIMP software for various drawing and painting purposes. These brush files allow users to create and save their own brush patterns, shapes, and textures, enhancing their digital artwork and editing capabilities. The GBR format enables easy sharing and distribution of custom brushes within the GIMP user community.
