- Digital photo captured by a Sony digital camera; contains a RAW image as captured by the camera's CCD; may be imported into image manipulation programs for touch-ups and other camera shooting corrections.
- A MAT-file holds the variables saved from a MATLAB session: numeric arrays such as matrices and images, text, cell arrays and structs. Files saved with -v7.3 are HDF5 files behind a MATLAB header. Unity and Unreal material files use the .mat extension too, but they are a different format.
