Let your AI agent convert SPI1D to CC
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents can do this on your computer with Filestar. Your files stay on your machine.
Install Filestar and add it to your agents:
npm install -g filestar
filestarcli agent install
Then ask your agent:
“Convert the SPI1D files in my Downloads folder to CC”
Or run it yourself:
filestarcli -i file.spi1d -c "convert to cc"
Runs on your computer, so your files stay on it. Works on Windows, macOS and Linux. 50 free conversions with the npm install, no account needed.
Can my AI agent convert SPI1D to CC?
Yes. Install the Filestar CLI with npm install -g filestar and your agent can run filestarcli -i file.spi1d -c "convert to cc" on your computer, so your files stay on it.
An SPI1D file is a one-dimensional colour lookup table in the text format of Sony Pictures Imageworks, used by OpenColorIO. It maps each channel through a curve, for example a log-to-linear transfer function.
A CC file holds one ASC CDL colour correction as XML: slope, offset and power per channel plus saturation. Colourists exchange it between on-set tools, editing and grading applications.
