- Description
- SMP Audio Files are audio files created with the Syntrillium Software's Cool Edit Pro. They are used to store audio recordings in a format that enables the user to edit the audio data in a variety of ways. The SMP format supports up to 16-bit, stereo audio and can have a sample rate of up to 44.1kHz.
- An MP3 file is an audio file saved in a compressed audio format developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) that uses "Layer 3" audio compression. It is commonly used to store music and audiobooks with near-CD quality sound (stereo, 16-bit) and roughly 1/10 the size of a .WAV or .AIF file.
