- Description
- Smacker Video (.smk) is a video file format developed for use in video games, designed to deliver synchronized audio and video with efficient compression on low-end hardware. It was especially popular in the 1990s and early 2000s for cutscenes and in-game full-motion video. The format supports multiple audio tracks and palette-based video compression optimized for CPU playback without dedicated hardware acceleration.
- WebP Image (WEP) is an image file format developed by Google in 2010. It is based on the VP8 video format and is used to create smaller, higher quality, and lossy compressed images. It is supported by most major web browsers and is commonly used for web graphics.
