StuffIt Archive (.sit) is a compressed archive format originally developed for the classic Mac OS. It bundles multiple files into a single archive while compressing them and preserving Mac-specific data such as resource forks. It was long the standard way to distribute and store files on the Macintosh platform.
.TBZ is a file that contains TAR archived files then compresses them using BZIP compression algorithm. Commonly used with UNIX OS.
