- The SDG file type is associated with StarOffice Gallery, a component of StarOffice Suite, which was an office suite developed by Sun Microsystems. It is primarily used to store collections of images, graphics, and themes that can be inserted into documents and presentations created within the StarOffice suite. SDG files serve as libraries or galleries from which users can easily access and manage pre-defined or custom multimedia content to enhance their documents. Although StarOffice has evolved into OpenOffice and later LibreOffice, SDG files represent a legacy format for organizing and utilizing graphical resources in office documents.
- Based on HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding), the HEIF format is an image file container with one or multiple images and is the default image format for Apple Live Photos. It replaced the JPEG format as it's smaller in size and has lossless compression ensuring high-quality photos.
