Description
The SCX file format is associated with ColoRIX, an early raster image editing program developed for use on IBM PC compatible computers. SCX files contain bitmap images created, edited, or saved within the ColoRIX software. This format was primarily used during the late 1980s and early 1990s and supported by the DOS operating system. SCX files represent digital artwork or graphics, including support for multiple colors, typical of the software's capabilities during that era.
A BMP file is an uncompressed raster image comprised of a rectangular grid of pixels. It contains a file header (bitmap identifier, file size, width, height, color options, and bitmap data starting point) and bitmap pixels, each with a different color.
