- S3M is a module file format created for Scream Tracker 3, a music tracker program for DOS. It stores multi-channel sequenced music data together with embedded digital audio samples/instruments, allowing full songs to be contained in a single file. It was widely used for creating music in games and demos during the 1990s.

It includes several types of text formatting, such as bold type, italics, different fonts and font sizes, and custom tab settings. RTF files also support objects and images, such as .JPG and .PNG files, saved within the text file.
