Description
id RoQ is a proprietary video (and audio) container format developed for use in video games. It uses a custom codec combining vector quantization for video and a simple compression scheme for audio, designed for fast decoding on limited hardware. It was used in several id Software games such as Quake III Arena and Return to Castle Wolfenstein to play full-motion video cutscenes.
Color bitmap image format created by Silicon Graphics (SGI); generic format used for saving RGB color images on SGI workstations; recognized by various image viewing programs.
