Let your AI agent convert RA to AMV
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents can do this on your computer with Filestar. Your files stay on your machine.
Install Filestar and add it to your agents:
npm install -g filestar
filestarcli agent install
Then ask your agent:
“Convert the RA files in my Downloads folder to AMV”
Or run it yourself:
filestarcli -i file.ra -c "convert to amv"
Runs on your computer, so your files stay on it. Works on Windows, macOS and Linux. 50 free conversions with the npm install, no account needed.
Can my AI agent convert RA to AMV?
Yes. Install the Filestar CLI with npm install -g filestar and your agent can run filestarcli -i file.ra -c "convert to amv" on your computer, so your files stay on it.
RealPlayer created RA for audio streaming. It makes use of various audio codecs from those that deliver high-fidelity sounds to those that record low bitrate audio data. Radio stations mainly used it for online streaming, but current formats have overthrown it.
An AMV file is a video saved in the Actions Media Video file format, which is used by some Chinese portable media players. It contains a compressed, low-resolution (96x96 to 320x240 pixel) video.
