- A PPSM file is a macro-enabled slide show created by Microsoft PowerPoint, a program that allows users to create slide shows and presentations. It contains a non-editable collection of slides. PPSM files are used for packaging view-only Open XML-based presentations, such as .PPTX files, for sharing with others.
