- A POR file is an SPSS dataset in the old portable format, a text encoding meant to move data between machines.
- A DTA file is a Stata dataset: a data table with variable names, types, display formats, variable labels and value labels, written by the Stata statistics package. The same extension is also used by Zeiss BIVAS for its image files.
