- Native format of the Krita painting program, developed by the Krita Foundation.
- Description
- The PCC file format is associated with ZSoft Corporation's Publisher's Paintbrush, an early and popular bitmap graphics editing program. PCC files contain image data saved in a compressed format, allowing for efficient storage and manipulation of digital images. This format was widely used in the late 1980s and early 1990s, particularly in the realm of PC-based graphic design and desktop publishing. Over time, as new graphics editing software emerged, the use of PCC files has diminished, but they can still be viewed with some specialized or legacy image viewing applications.
- Image file saved by the Krita painting program. A Krita file is a zip archive holding the full layer stack: each layer's pixel data as compressed tiles, its name, position, opacity, blending mode and visibility, plus a merged preview of the whole image.
