- Description
- The PC3 file type is associated with Degas & Degas Elite, which are bitmap graphics editing programs developed for the Atari ST computer system in the 1980s. These applications were specifically designed to leverage the graphical capabilities of the Atari ST, allowing users to create and manipulate pixel-based images. PC3 files contain image data saved in a proprietary format used by these programs, supporting various resolutions and color palettes available on the Atari platform. While largely obsolete today, the PC3 format and its associated software hold historical significance in the realm of early computer graphics design and development.
- Based on HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding), the HEIF format is an image file container with one or multiple images and is the default image format for Apple Live Photos. It replaced the JPEG format as it's smaller in size and has lossless compression ensuring high-quality photos.
