  1. Download and install the latest version of Filestar.

  2. Right click on one or more Pam file(s) on your desktop and select Convert with Filestar.

  3. Type convert to vips in the search box.

  4. Press Convert.

Description
The PAM image format is a lowest common denominator 2 dimensional map format. It is designed to be used for any of myriad kinds of graphics, but can theoretically be used for any kind of data that is arranged as a two dimensional rectangular array.
VIPS is a libvips file format mainly used for calculations, but it can also store images. The main advantage is that it has no size limit; it's fast and straightforward. Nonetheless, most applications can't view it, so converting it to a more popular format is the only way to work around it.
