  1. Download and install the latest version of Filestar.

  2. Right click on one or more Pam file(s) on your desktop and select Convert with Filestar.

  3. Type convert to plt in the search box.

  4. Press Convert.

The PAM image format is a lowest common denominator 2 dimensional map format. It is designed to be used for any of myriad kinds of graphics, but can theoretically be used for any kind of data that is arranged as a two dimensional rectangular array.
The PLT file extension is a vector-based plotter file developed by Autodesk, Inc. to contain plotting details from a certain CAD or computer-aided design file.
