- MSLZ is an archive file format developed by Microsoft. It is a compressed version of the LZX compression algorithm which is used to reduce the size of files and folders. The files can be opened with the MSLZ Viewer, a free utility that is included with Microsoft Office.
- It is an open-source file compressor and decompressor that is freely available and uses the Burrows-Wheeler codec. It isn't a file archiver as it compresses single files.
