- MPL2 is a plain-text subtitle format from the MPlayer project. Each line holds a caption as [start][end]text, with times in tenths of a second and | between lines of text.
- WebVTT (Web Video Text Tracks) is a text file format that is used to store subtitles and captions for online video content. It is supported by many web browsers and can be used to add captions and subtitles to HTML5 videos.
