- MPL2 is a plain-text subtitle format from the MPlayer project. Each line holds a caption as [start][end]text, with times in tenths of a second and | between lines of text.
- SubRip (srt) is a plain-text file format used for storing subtitles used in video files. It contains the start and end time codes for when a subtitle should appear, as well as the text itself. It is a commonly used format for subtitles, and is supported by most media players.
