- MPL2 is a plain-text subtitle format from the MPlayer project. Each line holds a caption as [start][end]text, with times in tenths of a second and | between lines of text.
- RealText is RealNetworks' markup format for timed text in RealPlayer. Captions sit in a <window> element, each starting at a <time begin> tag.
