- A FIG file is a figure saved from MATLAB. It stores the plot itself - axes, lines, markers, surfaces, images, text, legends and colorbars - inside a MAT-file, so MATLAB can open and edit it again.
- An FF file is an image saved in the farbfeld image format. It contains an uncompressed image that can be compressed using a variety of image compression formats.
