- A MAT-file holds the variables saved from a MATLAB session: numeric arrays such as matrices and images, text, cell arrays and structs. Files saved with -v7.3 are HDF5 files behind a MATLAB header. Unity and Unreal material files use the .mat extension too, but they are a different format.
- A TTF file is a font file format created by Apple, but used on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. It can be resized to any size without losing quality and looks the same when printed as it does on the screen.
