- The LBM file format, associated with Deluxe Paint by Electronic Arts, is a raster image file type primarily used in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It stores bitmap graphics and supports a palette of 256 colors, making it suitable for detailed and colorful 2D images. LBM files are structured with a header, bitmap data, and an optional palette section, facilitating the representation of digital art and graphics in a compact form. This format was popular among video game developers and digital artists during the era of Amiga computers.
