- JACOsub is a plain-text subtitle format from the JACOsub editor. Each line holds a start and end time, a directive and the text, and # lines set options such as the time resolution.
- Timed Text Markup Language (TTML) is an XML-based subtitle and caption format standardised by the W3C. It stores the text of each caption together with its timing, position and styling, and is used for broadcast, streaming and online video.
