- Description
- A JSON Lines file holds one JSON value per line, usually one record per line, so it can be written and read as a stream. Logs, data exports and machine learning datasets use it.
- A Parquet file is a columnar data table: each column is stored on its own, compressed and typed, so analytics tools can read only the columns they need. It is the common exchange format of data lakes, Spark, pandas and DuckDB.
