- Image file format related to the .PNG format, but uses lossy compression like standard .JPG files; developed as a sub-format for .MNG objects, but can also be used as a standalone raster image format.
- A WMZ file is a Windows Metafile (.WMF) compressed with GZIP. Microsoft Office and Visio save vector graphics this way to reduce their size. Windows Media Player skins also use the .wmz extension, but those are ZIP archives and are a different format.
