- Description
- The HTA file format, associated with Hemera Thumbs, is primarily used for storing thumbnail images. These thumbnails are small-sized previews of larger images, created to allow users to browse and manage large collections of images more efficiently. The format was popularized by Hemera Technologies, a company known for its image content and management software. HTA files facilitate quick loading and viewing of thumbnails within the software, improving the user experience by making image selection and organization more streamlined.
- An ICO file is an image format used to store icons for Windows programs, files, and folders. It contains two bitmaps: 1) the AND bitmap - the image mask (which determines what part of the icon is transparent) and 2) the XOR bitmap - contains the icon which is mapped onto the image mask. ICO files can be modified to create custom icons.
