- The HR file type is associated with the TRS-80, an early line of personal computers developed by Tandy Corporation in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Specifically, HR files contain high-resolution graphics data used by certain software applications or games on the TRS-80. These files were utilized to store and display detailed images or graphical elements beyond the standard graphical capabilities of the TRS-80's base hardware.
