- Description
- The HR file type is associated with the TRS-80, an early line of personal computers developed by Tandy Corporation in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Specifically, HR files contain high-resolution graphics data used by certain software applications or games on the TRS-80. These files were utilized to store and display detailed images or graphical elements beyond the standard graphical capabilities of the TRS-80's base hardware. Due to the limitations of the time, HR files were an innovative way to enhance visual experiences on the TRS-80 platform.
- An ICO file is an image format used to store icons for Windows programs, files, and folders. It contains two bitmaps: 1) the AND bitmap - the image mask (which determines what part of the icon is transparent) and 2) the XOR bitmap - contains the icon which is mapped onto the image mask. ICO files can be modified to create custom icons.
