- A lossy file format used to compress speech in Global Standard for Mobile (GSM) telecommunications. It is very effective for reducing audio file size. However, encoding and decoding audio signals severally is discouraged as the final product will have a lot of noise. Popular with some voice mail software but it is CPU intensive.
- Org-mode Document is a plain text file format used for note-taking, outlining, task management, and lightweight document authoring. It uses simple markup for headings, lists, links, and TODO items, and is primarily associated with the Org mode package for the Emacs text editor. It supports exporting to many other formats like HTML, PDF, and LaTeX.
