Description
A Feather file is a data table written by pandas, R or pyarrow; Feather version 2 is the Apache Arrow IPC file format, usually with LZ4 or ZSTD compression.
A Parquet file is a columnar data table: each column is stored on its own, compressed and typed, so analytics tools can read only the columns they need. It is the common exchange format of data lakes, Spark, pandas and DuckDB.
