- A Feather file is a data table written by pandas, R or pyarrow; Feather version 2 is the Apache Arrow IPC file format, usually with LZ4 or ZSTD compression.
- A DTA file is a Stata dataset: a data table with variable names, types, display formats, variable labels and value labels, written by the Stata statistics package. The same extension is also used by Zeiss BIVAS for its image files.
