- ASTM E57 is a vendor-neutral binary file format for storing 3D point cloud data, along with associated images and metadata, commonly produced by laser scanners and other 3D imaging systems. It is widely used in surveying, construction, and engineering industries to exchange 3D scan data between different software applications and hardware vendors.
