Let your AI agent convert DSS to CVSD
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents can do this with Filestar. This skill runs in Filestar's cloud and needs a paid Filestar plan.
Install Filestar and add it to your agents:
npm install -g filestar
filestarcli agent install
Then ask your agent:
“Convert the DSS files in my Downloads folder to CVSD”
Or run it yourself:
filestarcli -i file.dss -c "convert to cvsd"
Runs in Filestar's cloud and needs a Filestar plan.
Can my AI agent convert DSS to CVSD?
Yes, with a paid Filestar plan: this skill runs in Filestar's cloud. Install the Filestar CLI with npm install -g filestar and your agent can run filestarcli -i file.dss -c "convert to cvsd".
Digital Speech Standard (DSS) is a proprietary compressed digital audio file format defined by the International Voice Association, a co-operative venture by Olympus, Philips and Grundig. DSS was originally developed in 1994 by Grundig with the University of Nuremberg. In 1997, the digital speech standard was released, which was based on the previous codec. It is commonly used on digital dictation recorders. Modern phycoacoustical codecs that perform nearly as well at only slightly higher bitrates have led to this speech coding standard being less used in modern voice recording equipment.
Continuously Variable Slope Delta Modulation Audio is a headerless format used to compress speech audio for applications such as voice mail.
