Can my AI agent convert CMT to HEIF?
Yes. Install the Filestar CLI with npm install -g filestar and your agent can run filestarcli -i file.cmt -c "convert to heif" on your computer, so your files stay on it.
The CMT file type is associated with the Chinon ES-1000 digital camera, serving as a proprietary format used for storing images captured by the device. This format is specific to Chinon cameras and may require specialized software provided by the manufacturer or compatible third-party applications for viewing or editing. CMT files contain image data that may include metadata about the picture taken, such as date, time, and camera settings. Users looking to share or edit these images might need to convert them to more widely supported formats like JPEG or PNG.
Based on HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding), the HEIF format is an image file container with one or multiple images and is the default image format for Apple Live Photos. It replaced the JPEG format as it's smaller in size and has lossless compression ensuring high-quality photos.
