- Description
- The BMX file format is associated with Siemens Mobile phones, particularly used for storing bitmap graphics on these devices. It is a proprietary image format developed by Siemens for their range of mobile phones, enabling the storage and display of pictures, such as wallpapers or caller ID photos. The format is optimized for the limited storage and display capabilities of early mobile devices. To view or edit BMX files on a computer, specialized software or converters are often required to translate the format into more commonly used image standards.
- Based on HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding), the HEIF format is an image file container with one or multiple images and is the default image format for Apple Live Photos. It replaced the JPEG format as it's smaller in size and has lossless compression ensuring high-quality photos.
