- BMP3 (Bitmap 3) is a file format for storing and sharing digital images. It is a variant of the BMP (Bitmap) format, which is a commonly used image file format that is supported by many different operating systems and applications.
- A MAT-file holds the variables saved from a MATLAB session: numeric arrays such as matrices and images, text, cell arrays and structs. Files saved with -v7.3 are HDF5 files behind a MATLAB header. Unity and Unreal material files use the .mat extension too, but they are a different format.
