- Description
- The BFX file type is associated with Bitware, a fax document format used primarily by Bitware Fax software. Bitware was a popular fax and communications software package that allowed users to send, receive, and manage fax documents directly from their computers. BFX files contain the digital representation of faxed documents, enabling them to be stored, viewed, or printed using compatible software. Although the software has become less common with the decline of fax usage in favor of digital communication methods, BFX files represent a specific era of computer-based fax management.
- Based on HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding), the HEIF format is an image file container with one or multiple images and is the default image format for Apple Live Photos. It replaced the JPEG format as it's smaller in size and has lossless compression ensuring high-quality photos.
