- Description
- An ARC archive is a compressed file archive from the MS-DOS and bulletin-board era, made by SEA's ARC program; unrelated to Norton backup files that also use .arc.
- It is an open-source file compressor and decompressor that is freely available and uses the Burrows-Wheeler codec. It isn't a file archiver as it compresses single files.
