- Developed in 1980 by the Acorn Draw Program, aff format is meant for vector image visualization. It mainly stores publishing information such as brochures, flyers, logotypes, etc. because of it's high-quality images when printing.
- An extension of the .PNG image format that uses indexed colors and supports image animations; similar to an animated .GIF file, but uses higher compression and features full alpha support (multi-level transparency).
