- Developed in 1980 by the Acorn Draw Program, aff format is meant for vector image visualization. It mainly stores publishing information such as brochures, flyers, logotypes, etc. because of it's high-quality images when printing.
- Vector graphics format designed to support the needs of many graphics applications; originally used for clip art libraries, but newer revisions (based on the ISO/IEC 8632 standard) are now commonly used for CAD drawings.
